Meanwhile, a go-kart track called Niti Sirkuit is being built next to the circuit that hosts a round of MotoGP. It wasn't ready in time for the October race because the karts and equipment have not yet arrived from abroad.
Niti Sirkuit was designed as a scaled-down version of the main track. Tourists will be able to ride karts, while young drivers will be able to train and take part in small competitions. A racing school will also open at the track.

The go-kart track is a joint project between the Niti Racing team and ITDC, the state-owned company that manages the Mandalika resort area in Lombok and Nusa Dua in Bali. ITDC is developing the water park on its own. The company also plans to build villas on the circuit grounds and wants to complete the first of them in 2027.
There are still no hotels at all on Tanjung Aan beach in the eastern part of Mandalika. A plot for a five-star resort was handed over to an investor back in August 2025.
The MotoGP round in Mandalika on 9–11 October drew a record 157,875 spectators. ITDC estimated the race’s economic impact at 5.2 trillion rupiah, or about 290 million US dollars. The figure will still be checked against data from Indonesia’s statistics bureau.
MyBaliTrips offers a three-day tour of Lombok’s beaches with overnight stays in Mandalika and a boat from Padang Bai.
