Pink Beach is one of the rarest beaches on the planet, where the sand has a natural pink tint. This phenomenon is explained by the presence of microscopic organisms — foraminifera. Their shells are colored in a reddish-pink hue. After these organisms die, their shells break down and mix with the white sand and coral fragments, creating a pink palette that ranges from gentle pastel to deep tones.

The sand color can change depending on the time of day and lighting — from a delicate, barely noticeable pink to an intense reddish hue. This spectacle is especially striking against the backdrop of clear water and the green hills surrounding the bay.

Pink Beach is part of the Komodo National Park, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The park is known not only for its legendary Komodo dragons, which can only be found here, but also for its astonishing diversity of flora and fauna.
