Indonesian Beaches Named Worlds Most Beautiful

Indonesian beaches have taken two spots on the "50 Best Beaches in the World 2024" list. What's even better for us is that getting to them from Bali is very easy. These are Pink Beach and Kelingking Beach.

Every year, the company Banana Boat sponsors the compilation of the list of the 50 best beaches in the world. More than 1000 experienced travelers from all over the world participate in this process. They are asked to choose a place they have visited themselves and which impressed them the most. There are no other criteria. The only condition is that experts are asked to provide detailed explanations of why they liked a particular beach.
Based on these reviews and recommendations, the organizing committee compiles the list of the best places for beach holidays. They take into account the number of votes cast and other criteria, such as uniqueness, untouched nature, local flora and fauna, tranquility or natural sounds, ease of entry into the water, presence of waves, and the number of people.
"The longer we do this, the more we realize that there are many truly undiscovered beaches that amaze the imagination," said Bobby Herd, co-founder and CEO of the "50 Best Beaches in the World" project, which was launched in 2017.
This year, the experts' votes were distributed in such a way that Indonesia took two spots in the ranking.
Closer to the top, in seventh place, is Pink Beach. It's easy to guess its main feature - the spoiler is already in the name. It turned pink due to the combination of white sand with fragments of red corals. This beach is part of Komodo National Park, to which tourists from Bali are regularly taken. The cost of such trips starts from 1,450,000 rupiahs.

This is a protected natural area, so there is the purest water and pristine views. And the large variety of marine inhabitants makes this place ideal for snorkeling and diving as well. So there will definitely be plenty of impressions from visiting this beach. And that's not even counting the local dragons, which usually become the main goal of travelers to Komodo. Huge lizards freely roam the national park because there are more of them on the island than people.
The compilers of the ranking add that the ideal period to visit these places is from May to October when the dry season begins, making it easier to plan your trip for a sunny day.
Ranked 39th in the rating is another Indonesian beach - Kelingking Beach, also known as "Dino Beach." It is one of the highlights of the paradise island of Nusa Penida. Many people think it's located on Bali, which is not entirely true. You can get there from Bali in a few hours and for 175,000 rupiahs.

Probably everyone who has been to Nusa Penida at least once has a photo from the viewpoint located above this beach. The coastal cliffs resemble the shape of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. This unique relief forms a secluded bay at the bottom, which can only be reached by a steep 400-meter descent.
Not everyone dares to descend down, so the beach remains untouched and uncrowded. Although this characteristic may soon become irrelevant because plans were made to build a glass elevator for descent to the water. However, there is no specific information about its launch date yet.
This beach rightfully deserves the title of "eerily beautiful." Not only because the path to it is currently not the most comfortable, but even dangerous, but also because there are regularly reports in the news about the deaths of tourists in this place. There are very strong waves and undertows, so swimming in this beautiful colored water is strictly prohibited.
But just as the pink beach might be a reason for you to see Komodo dragons, the dino-beach might be a reason to explore Nusa Penida, as there are other paradise spots there, such as Diamond Beach or Angel's Billabong. Well, isn't that a reason to arrange a mini-journey for yourself?
