Bali Faces Closure Demands for Queen’s Tandoor and Padel Club

A special commission of the Bali Provincial Parliament on zoning, assets, and permits announced the closure of three businesses: PT Gautama Indah Perkasa, Queen’s Tandoor Restaurant (Seminyak), and Jungle Padel Munggu (Munggu).

The main violation is the placement of structures on protected agricultural land (areas of rice fields designated for agricultural preservation). Permits cannot be obtained retrospectively on such land, so the closure is considered permanent until structures are dismantled.
The commission also stated that representatives of the three entities did not make contact: after on-site inspections, they were given time to provide permit documents, but they did not submit them and did not respond to parliamentary summons.
Additionally, 31 businesses in Munggu were summoned for hearings. Of those, 28 showed signs of being located on protected agricultural land, and the investigation is ongoing — new decisions regarding other entities may be forthcoming.
In recent months, inspections regarding land, zoning, and permits in Bali have noticeably increased, leading to closures, sealing, and dismantling of structures. In 2025 alone, nearly 200 violations concerning constructions and building documents were recorded. To safeguard your business, it is recommended to consult with Legal Indonesia.
