The national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, plans to start operating direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Bali. The first flight is scheduled for April 23, 2024. Currently, there is no direct air connection between the UAE capital and Denpasar.
"These are our first flights to Bali. We have scheduled their timing so that guests can enjoy long weekends here if they wish," said Antonaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.
Currently, the airline operates two daily flights to the Indonesian capital, Jakarta (CGK).
Etihad Airways plans to operate direct flights four times a week on Boeing 787-09 Dreamliner aircraft. From the UAE to Bali, flight EY 476 will depart at 22:25 and land in Bali at 11:35 (all local time) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
From Bali to Abu Dhabi, flight EY 477 will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 18:45 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 23:45.
The ticket prices have not been announced yet, and they are not available on the website schedule. Last month, the Arab airline moved all its operations to the new Terminal 1 of Abu Dhabi International Airport. It can handle up to 45 million passengers annually and provide air links to 117 destinations worldwide.
