Recently, changes in visa application rules for entering Indonesia have come into effect.
Now, in order to apply for a visa, you must be outside of Indonesia. This means that it is not possible to obtain a new visa within the country.
This change in visa policy is motivated by several factors, including improving control over the entry and exit of foreign citizens, as well as the need to enforce stricter security measures and verify the legality of stays.
Currently, there are exceptions to this rule (as the system is not yet fully synchronized). Some individuals are still able to apply for a visa while inside the country, but these are rare cases.
