Views
Located near Padangbai port, the beach offers views of arriving and departing ships and ferries. On the right-hand side, when facing the sea, there's an abandoned hotel that curious visitors are free to explore.
Water
The water is usually clean and clear, though storms can bring in debris. Waves can sometimes be very strong.
The beach is excellent for snorkelling, with many fish and turtles to see. Further from the shore, the corals are stunning, even more beautiful than those in the Blue Lagoon.
Sand
The sand is white and coral-based, with some volcanic sand mixed in.
Weather and Tides
Swimming can be challenging during strong waves. Sometimes you'll find calm water perfect for snorkelling, while other times you might encounter strong waves.
Cleanliness
There is no local initiative to maintain the beach; it is primarily kept clean on an ad-hoc basis by visiting tourists.
Access
The beach is accessible via a narrow two-lane asphalt road that ends in a parking lot. While there is ample parking for bikes, car parking is more limited, and manoeuvring in the lot can be challenging. If you’re arriving by car, be prepared to reverse about 100 meters on your way back to find the turn onto the main road.
The entrance to the beach is well signposted from the parking lot. Follow the steps to a doorway in the wall on the left, then descend a forest trail for about 5 minutes. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the walk.

Infrastructure
The beach features warungs (small restaurants) that offer food and drinks, as well as sun loungers. A meal for two with drinks typically costs less than 100,000 IDR. However, the food quality is generally not the best, so it's advisable to bring your own snacks and drinking water.

The area is generally safe for visitors. However, as with any location, it's wise to stay alert and take standard precautions, such as securing your belongings and being aware of your surroundings.
