Bali Authorities Improve English Skills for Tourism Sector

A new initiative has started in Bali to improve tourist services and enhance security measures in popular areas.
Last week, a one-day English training session was held in Denpasar for dozens of police officers. The classes focused on basic communication skills with foreigners, from greetings and polite questions to explaining rules, responding to emergencies, and drafting simple protocols.

According to the regional police, this is part of a program to enhance skills and improve communication with foreign guests. It is also a measure for more effective response to offenses committed by tourists.
"As a global tourist destination, Bali needs police officers who can communicate with foreign guests. This training is a strategic step towards improving service and security," noted Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya.
Bali Police plan to continue conducting such sessions, gradually expanding the program from basic conversational levels to specialized vocabulary for working in tourist areas and dealing with foreigners who break the law.
