Travelers to Bali, Indonesia, should be aware of the current regulations regarding the importation of tobacco and alcohol for personal use.
In 2021, Indonesian Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi issued a regulation allowing visitors to import up to 2.25 liters of alcoholic beverages. However, the implementation of this new regulation awaits the Ministry of Finance's approval.
Until then, travelers to Indonesia are permitted to bring the following in their personal luggage: 200 cigarettes, 25 cigars, or 100 grams of tobacco, along with 1 liter of strong alcoholic beverages.
Any excess beyond these limits will be confiscated during inspection.
