The main site was the Ayung river valley in Badung. The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, participated in the planting. Nearly 30,000 people in total took part, including authorities, military personnel, volunteers, and eco-communities. Approximately 590 hectares were greened.
25 types of trees were planted, including durian, avocado, jackfruit, tabebuia, banyan, mahogany, coconut palm, and others. The species were chosen for ecosystem restoration and for ritual, culinary, and medical uses.
Simultaneously, 35,600 participants cleaned riverbeds to reduce the risk of floods before the rainy season. The work was carried out in the catchments of the Ayung, Badung, and Mati rivers, as well as in priority areas of other districts.
The governor announced that such activities would be monthly as part of the hundred-year 'Bali Hijau' program until 2125: 'By acting together, Bali will remain strong, healthy, and vibrant.'
