Nyang Nyang Beach

Pecatu (Uluwatu)
Open 24/7, no days off
Type of place
A fairly uncrowded beach, secluded due to poor accessibility and the fact that swimming is not allowed. Paragliders soar above the beach. Herds of cows graze on the upper terrace. You can't see the sunset from there.
Swimming is impossible - the reefs are right off the shore. However, there's plenty of marine life in them, making for a kind of dry snorkeling) lots of starfish. The reef bottom is shallow, even at high tide, but you can take a dip.
