Delicious local cuisine and a peaceful landscape!
Location. Located on the territory of the Kampung Resort Ubud hotel in a stunningly picturesque place. Lush jungle surroundings and a peaceful landscape. It is calm and relaxed here, there is no fuss and tourists. The famous Tegalalang rice terraces are 5 minutes from the cafe, and if you go down the road, without returning to the main road, you can shorten the route to the holy springs of Sebatu. The restaurant is built in the form of a 2-storey terrace, the views are impressive! The upper terrace has the largest view, on the lower terrace there are low tables in Asian style. The territory of the complex is beautiful, you can go down the steps and walk. Nice staff and good service. Taxes are 15%.
The restaurant does not have a smoking / non-smoking table, you can smoke everywhere. Own free parking.
Cuisine. The menu includes Indonesian and European cuisine, vegetarian dishes. Signature drinks, and even homemade rice wine/Kampung rice. They cook very tasty, especially Indonesian dishes. The menu includes traditional local dishes that I have not seen anywhere else: Ayam ketumbar (chicken with coriander and curry sauce), Ayam panggang basa serapah (chicken stewed in coconut sauce with spices), Ayam sambal sereh (chicken with sambal made from lemongrass and chili). Hot sauces (sambal) are served separately, so you can adjust the spiciness, but in some dishes the sauce already comes with the meat. Every month there is a seasonal menu.
What to try?
1. Soto Ayam - traditional Indonesian chicken noodle soup. 2 options: more filling with glass noodles, chicken, vegetables and quail egg; and lighter, without noodles, with vegetables, mushrooms and chicken.
2. Fish curry - curry with fish and vegetables in a thick coconut sauce, garnish - white rice.
3. Ayam panggang basa serapah - chicken stewed in coconut sauce with spices, garnish - white rice and green bean vegetable salad. It was very tasty and almost not spicy!
