Yamaha XMAX Connected: When a Compact Scooter Isn’t Enough

If you want more than just power from a bike and comfort matters too, the Yamaha XMAX Connected is worth a look.

Yamaha XMAX Connected
It's a large maxi-scooter, noticeably roomier than compact models. There's more space for both rider and passenger, and the 250 cc engine handles the extra load and hills with ease.
Two helmets fit under the seat — a practical detail that's hard not to appreciate in Bali.
The Connected version looks and feels more modern: X-shaped lights, a colour display with smartphone connectivity and navigation, a Smart Key and phone charging. The windscreen gives you some protection from headwind and spray, while ABS and traction control add confidence on wet asphalt after rain.
That said, the size of the XMAX calls for experience. Its weight is especially noticeable at low speeds, when turning around and in tight parking spots, so as a first bike it's better to go for something more compact — the Yamaha Fazzio or Honda Vario 125, for example. The XMAX Connected is more of a next step up: more space, more power and more comfort, but also far more demanding of the rider.
What the rental includes: roadside assistance, two helmets, a phone holder, delivery to most areas of Bali and rental with no deposit.
Extra and required: damage insurance
Optional add-ons: damage insurance, theft and damage insurance, a luggage top case and delivery to remote areas.
