An unexpected encounter in Bali: heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Ready to Fight team visited Bali Governor Wayan Koster.

Koster, by the way, has a black belt in karate-do, but there were no friendly sparring matches. Instead, they discussed how to connect Indonesia and Ukraine through sports, culture, and joint projects.
Besides visiting the officials, the boxer managed to undergo melukat - a ritual bathing in the sacred springs of Balinese temples. Its purpose is to restore inner balance, release anxiety, and clear the mind. Locals perform melukat regularly: before important events, after illness or setbacks, or simply for rejuvenation.

Igor Sytnikov, a representative of the Ready to Fight team, described the meeting on his Instagram: “Today, Oleksandr Usyk and the Ready to Fight team had the honor of meeting with Bali Governor Wayan Koster.
The discussion focused on strengthening ties between sports, culture, and social initiatives — creating new opportunities for cooperation between Indonesia and Ukraine. We are sincerely grateful for the warm reception and the inspiring dialogue on how sports can unite people and lead to positive change worldwide.”
Whether the meeting resulted in any official agreements is unknown. The governor has so far refrained from comments, limiting himself to posting videos and photos on his Facebook.
