The Grand Lagunas: Bali’s Premier Adventure Entertainment Centre in Kintamani

The Kintamani District is one of Bali's most scenic and refreshingly cool regions. Visitors come to Kintamani to enjoy the pine forests, unwind in hot springs, hike up the volcano, and sip coffee with breath-taking views of Mount Batur and the lake at spots like Paperhills or AKASA Specialty Coffee.
If you're looking for a day full of outdoor adventures and a refreshing break from Bali's intense heat, head to The Grand Lagunas adventure entertainment centre, nestled on a hillside surrounded by pine forests.
The Grand Lagunas is a forested tourist area with activities for all ages, including quad bike rides, ziplines, flying swings, rope courses, jungle trampolines, and more.
"This family-oriented attraction aims to promote tourism while supporting environmental conservation. The centre was established through a joint effort by local communities, the local government, and several NGOs dedicated to environmental protection," explained Eka, manager of The Grand Lagunas.

Operating Hours and Ticket Prices

The centre is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On average, visitors spend about 1 to 2 hours exploring the park. With a 4-year-old, we spent about an hour walking through all the zones, enjoying the cool, fresh air, trying out the attractions, and finishing with a hot cup of tea.
The entrance fee is 50,000 IDR per person, which includes access to attractions such as swings, nets, the Rainbow Slide, jungle climbing, and tree climbing. Quad biking is available at 500,000 IDR for one person or 600,000 IDR for two people.
You can purchase a full-access ticket for 175,000 IDR. The on-site restaurant serves local cuisine and offers a complimentary welcome drink of hot Balinese coffee or tea. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food and enjoy a picnic at the comfortable tables provided.

Activities

Rainbow Slide

The Rainbow Slide, a vibrant and colorful structure, is the park's most popular attraction and a must-try for all visitors. You glide down on an inflatable tube, much like the thrill of winter tubing on snowy slopes at ski resorts.
Up to three people can slide down the Rainbow Slide at the same time. Children can ride solo or with an adult. Its gentle speed makes it especially popular with younger kids.
With the standard 50,000 IDR ticket, visitors are allowed three rides down the slide. This is one of the most exciting and beloved attractions, particularly for children under 6. Park staff are stationed at each attraction to ensure safety and help manage queues.

Trampolines, Swings, and Climbing Walls

Located next to the Rainbow Slide, you'll find two trampolines, swings, and small tree-climbing walls. A trampoline session is available for an additional fee of 25,000 IDR.

Flying Fox (Zipline)

The most thrilling attraction at the Grand Lagunas is the Flying Fox, a zipline that lets you soar from a height, offering an adrenaline rush and a sense of flight. This exhilarating ride costs an additional 50,000 IDR. The height is moderate, and instructors are present to ensure safety. It’s suitable for children aged 6 and up.

Treetop Adventure

The Tree Top adventure includes wooden suspension bridges with various challenging obstacles, where you navigate through spiderweb-like nets while holding onto rope cables. Safety harnesses are provided to ensure a secure experience. For those wanting to climb even higher, an additional fee of 80,000 IDR per person applies.

Sultan's Basket

One of the attractions featured on the centre’s website is the Sultan's Basket, available for an additional fee of 80,000 IDR per person. Unfortunately, it is currently under repair, so we were unable to try it out.

ATV Sports

For adventure and extreme sports enthusiasts, ATV Sports is the perfect choice. There's no need to worry about muddy conditions, as the quad bike track at The Grand Lagunas is dry. The cost for an ATV ride is 500,000 IDR per person or 600,000 IDR for two people, with each ride lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes. The fee covers shoes, helmets, elbow pads, and a guide.
You can also enjoy a walk across the suspension bridge at no extra cost. It’s safe and doesn’t require any additional safety gear. The bridge is located to the left of the Rainbow Slide area.
The park staff is very friendly, and the grounds are generally clean and dry. However, we did notice some areas with litter and plastic waste, which slightly diminished the overall experience.
