One-day trip: Pine forest in Kintamani and brunch overlooking Batur volcano

Love to explore Bali on your own? Here is a full day itinerary around Ubud and Kintamani.
Put Hutan Pinus Glagalinggah Lestari in Google maps and let's go!
Along the way in the Kedewatan area, you can stop for breakfast at Cafe Edery. It has delicious cinnamon rolls and cookies with a beautiful view of rice paddies and mountains in clear weather.
📍 Coniferous Forest Hutan Pinus Glagalinggah Lestari
Take something warmer with you. With each kilometer you will feel the chill of the mountains approaching. At about 3\4 miles to the point, the navigator will take you to the left, through orange plantations. After a few more minutes, you'll know you're there. The road will pass right through a coniferous forest. You will feel the freshness and coolness of the pine air.
By the way, what's good about the road through the forest is that it allows you to enter the Kintamani area for free. Usually at other entrances there are posts for tourist entry fees.
There is an organized parking area in the forest. Suspension bridges between the trees and a café are currently under construction. In the forest you can walk along the paths, enjoy the coolness and breathe fresh air filled with the smell of pine needles. The paths are without any infrastructure, just like in a normal forest. In rainy weather it can be a bit muddy.
📍The next point is Montana Del Cafe, overlooking the Batur Volcano and the lake of the same name.
The cafe is quite popular with quality cuisine. We recommend trying the salmon croissant and Vietnam Drip hot coffee. In clear weather there is a good view of Mount Abang and Bali's largest volcano, Agung.
Approximate prices - a meal + drink cost 110-150k.
📍 On the way from the forest to the cafe, you can stop at the Pura Ulun Danu Batur temple for a couple of photos.
📍After relaxing at the cafe, heading to Ubud, you can stop at Sebatu holy water springs.
Here you can perform the traditional water purification ritual, Melukat. You will need a sarong, which you can buy on the way from the parking lot to the springs. To perform the ritual, you must also buy offerings and pay a donation to a local priest who will perform the ritual for you.
Sarong: 50-70k
Offerings: one basket is 20k, but you need several.
📍Dinner is available at one of the cafes at the famous Tegalalang Rice Terraces.
There's also swinging over the terraces and you can even rent a dress for Instagram photos.
📍Finish the route at Ubud Palace for an evening performance of traditional Legong dance.
It's best to check the show times and dates in advance.
A ticket for the Legong performance is 100k.
