Green Bowl Beach, situated in Ungasan, Bali, is a haven for surfers. However, if surfing isn't your thing, you can still enjoy the unique
atmosphere and find refuge from the sun in the nearby caves.
Sea: Swimming at Green Bowl Beach is strongly discouraged due
to the sharp rocks on the seabed and the powerful currents. Incidents of
drowning have occurred here in the past.
Sand: The shoreline at Green Bowl Beach is relatively narrow. The sand is soft and light beige in color.
Weather and Tides: The tides play a major role here. During
high tide, the beach completely disappears underwater.
Cleanliness: The beach is clean, even during the rainy
season.
Access: Accessing the beach can be challenging. A long,
steep staircase of approximately 300 steps leads down to the beach, making the
descent difficult, and the climb back up even more so. Along the way, you may
encounter many monkeys.
Visitors: Mainly surfers.
Cost: Payment is only required for parking, priced at 5,000 IDR for a bike.
Infrastructure: There are no facilities available directly
on the beach. However, on the cliff near the parking lot, vendors sell water
and snacks.
Safety: There are no lifeguards on the beach, and swimming
here is extremely dangerous because of the strong currents.
Nearby: Before heading down to the beach, you'll come across
a Balinese temple situated on the cliff.
