Foreigner Leaps from Crane at Kelingking Beach — Police Probe Viral Video

The glass elevator on Nusa Penida, which tourists will use to descend to one of the most beautiful beaches, is once again at the center of a scandal.
Recently, local authorities reported that they found violations during the construction of the facility, and recently a video went viral on social media featuring a foreigner climbing the arm of a construction crane installed on a cliff and jumping off with a parachute.
The footage is shot from the first-person perspective and begins at the very top of the crane. The unknown daredevil slowly makes his way to the edge of the crane arm, occasionally showing his face in the frame. The young man jumps and opens his parachute after a second.
At that moment, someone continues filming him from the cliff, confirming that the jumper was not alone. The hero of the video lands on the deserted Kelingking Beach. This part doesn't make it into the frame, as the video ends when the daredevil is a few meters above the ground.
The comments under the video are divided. Some admire the young man's bravery, others demand he be punished for breaking safety regulations and trespassing on the crane.
Some users speculate what would have happened to the parachutist if he had missed the sandy shore and landed in the deadly waves of Kelingking Beach.
Meanwhile, the video has already attracted the attention of local authorities. The police are trying to find out the names of the jumper and his assistant who filmed the dangerous jump. If the foreigners are found, they face fines and deportation.
