Since the evening of September 8, heavy rains have been falling in several areas of Bali. As a result, certain zones, including the Vanasari area in Kampung-Java (North Denpasar), experienced rising water levels up to 1.5 meters on the morning of Wednesday, September 10. Private homes have been flooded, and access to specific road sections has been temporarily restricted.

The water began rising around 2:00 a.m. In some residential homes, water entered inside. Residents quickly evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
Due to the rise in water levels, crossing the bridge in Kampung-Java was temporarily impossible. One person caught in the flow was safely rescued.
In another area—behind the Kohinoor building, near the BCA KCU Denpasar bank on Hasanuddin Street—the river eroded the foundation of a house, causing it to collapse.

Reports of localized flooding have also come in from the residential areas of Badung and Denpasar, including the Devata Permai, Green Kori, and Bina Mulia complexes. The water level reached knee-high, partially flooding homes, yards, and vehicles, both cars and motorcycles. The tunnel at Simpang Dewaruci was flooded, making access to Ngurah Rai Airport difficult.
By the morning of Wednesday, September 10, rainfall continued. Representatives from the regional disaster management agency (BPBD) coordinated efforts to clear blockages and ensure passability of key routes. A BPBD employee confirmed the situation is under control, and affected residents are receiving necessary assistance. Bali's tourist areas have not been affected—the infrastructure is operating smoothly, and the situation remains calm. However, it's advisable to allow extra time when traveling to the airport.
"We ask everyone to remain calm and follow the instructions of local authorities. Teams on the ground are working to minimize the impact and ensure public safety," stated BPBD Bali.
Although it's currently the dry season in Bali, the heavy rains will persist until mid-September, including intense rainfall on the 11th and 13th. Gradual weather improvement is expected from September 16, when a more stable dry period begins.
