An Airfast seaplane with registration number DH PK OAM 6 encountered technical issues while landing at Bali Airport. The aircraft was operating a flight from Benete, Sumbawa.
There were seven passengers on board, all of whom were evacuated safely without serious injuries. Due to the malfunction, the plane remained on the runway, leading to a two-hour closure for takeoffs and landings.
During this time, passengers were evacuated from the runway, and the damaged aircraft was removed. The runway also had to be thoroughly inspected to ensure no debris or small parts from the aircraft remained, as this could pose a flight safety risk.

As a result, 10 departing flights were delayed, including five domestic and five international. Additionally, the schedules and routes of 21 arriving flights had to be adjusted—nine domestic and 12 international. Some flights were diverted to alternative airports: six to Lombok, five to Surabaya, three to Makassar, two to Semarang, and one each to Jakarta and Banyuwangi.
Three arriving flights returned to their departure airports—Lombok, Jakarta, and even Singapore. The runway has since reopened, and all airport operations have resumed as normal.
