One of the common household services used in Bali is the delivery of bottled drinking water to homes. This service is provided by small private companies that deliver water in 19-liter gallons. They offer water from various brands such as Aqua, Cleo, Balian, and La Mineral.

Use water intended for drinking, and check that the packaging has not been opened or damaged. When you are unsure about a supply, unopened factory-sealed bottled water from a reputable seller is the safer choice.

Some bottled water brands:

- Le Minerale is produced from selected mountain sources, giving it a distinctive freshness and a slightly sweet taste.

- AQUA is a brand of bottled drinking water produced since 1973, now owned by Danone. In addition to Indonesia, it is also sold in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. They obtain water from mountain sources. Rainwater enters the mountains and is absorbed into deep soil layers, undergoing natural mineralization. Therefore, the water is enriched with minerals present in the rock formations it passes through.

For AQUA’s returnable 19-litre bottles, inspect the cap and bottle together: the factory seal should be intact and the production codes should match. For water from a refill depot, ask the supplier about treatment and quality testing. If you cannot establish that the supply is suitable for drinking, choose unopened, factory-sealed drinking water from a reputable seller.

Balian is a certified natural mineral water that is extracted and bottled right on the slopes of the sacred Mount Agung in a protected natural environment. The Balian brand is available in almost all delivery services. You can find more detailed information about the quality of this water on their official website.

You can find large gallons of drinking water in both chain stores and small warungs. They mainly sell Aqua water, sometimes Cleo and La Mineral, but Balian is usually only available for delivery.
