Coca-Cola Starts Plastic Bottle Drop-Off Program in Bali

Coca-Cola Indonesia is launching the 'Recycle Me' eco-program for the fifth consecutive year — the collection and recycling of used plastic bottles. For each PET bottle handed over, the company donates 1,000 rupiah to a fund supporting waste collectors.

This year, the project is in partnership with Grab, the Mahija Parahita Nusantara fund, the Amandina recycling plant, and the social platform BenihBaik.com.
The program runs from November 27, 2025, to February 27, 2026, covering Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Bali (Badung province).
If you have accumulated plastic containers from Coca-Cola (Sprite, Fanta, etc.), you can collect at least 12 bottles of any volume and send them via GrabExpress to the nearest Mahija collection point.
To participate in the program, you first need to register on the Recycle Me website. During registration, you enter your district, and the system automatically shows the available Mahija point in your region and provides the exact address to send the package via GrabExpress. The first 23,000 participants will receive OVO bonuses and delivery reimbursement.
The collected bottles are sent for recycling to Java at the Amandina Bumi Nusantara plant, where they are turned into rPET — a material for new bottles. This creates a full closed loop: used containers become resources again.
Donations are allocated to support and train waste collectors, providing them with an opportunity to earn extra income and learn a new profession.
The Recycle Me program is a rare example of how a large corporation, logistics service, recyclers, and social funds unite to address both environmental and social issues. If you live in Badung, participating in the program is a simple and truly meaningful way to help Bali's environment and support people whose work often goes unnoticed and undervalued.
