Bali Police have launched the 16-day Pekat Agung operation, which will run from July 22 to August 6.

The crackdown targets the illegal sale of alcohol, gambling, prostitution, extortion, and the activities of street gangs. In several regencies, police have also included drug trafficking among the operation’s priorities.
The operation is being carried out across the island, with dedicated task forces formed by police departments in Badung, Gianyar, Karangasem, Jembrana, and other regencies. The exact locations and schedules of the inspections have not been disclosed in advance.
During a similar eight-day operation in May 2025, Bali Police reported uncovering 56 cases involving extortion, robbery, illegal parking, and other public order offences.
