The cocaine incident involves a Turkish citizen, Halil Sener (26 years old). He worked as a DJ and was detained on February 3, 2026, after arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport on Emirates flight EK368 from Dubai. Customs became suspicious during baggage inspection, finding a package with white powder hidden in the bag's structure. According to the police, the weight seized was 1,328.80 g, with an estimated value of 9.1 billion Rupiah.
During initial questioning, the detainee claimed to be a courier. He acted on behalf of someone named Miami/Miyami and was supposed to deliver the package to a person with the initial M, who is being sought by the police.
The second incident involves ecstasy. Police arrested Indonesians Aguslim Tanjung (52 years old) and Irwansyah (36 years old) in a hotel near Gilimanuk Port following information about a possible drug delivery to Bali. A search revealed a backpack with 20 sealed packages containing 5,052 tablets, with a total weight exceeding 2.5 kg.
The suspects stated during interrogations that they were controlled by a person with the initial S, who is in Malaysia, and that they collected the shipment from an illegal port in the Peureulak area (East Aceh) before transporting it to Bali by land. They were promised 50 million Rupiah for the task and received an advance of 10 million Rupiah.
Police believe that both incidents are linked and are searching for other participants.
