A Major Fire Occurred at a Factory in Tabanan

A major fire engulfed a putty factory located in the village of Cepaka, Kediri district, Tabanan. Fire engines from two districts — Tabanan and Badung — were dispatched to the scene. The fire started around 19:00 local time. The scale of the incident can be seen in a video on Instagram.

The fire appeared suddenly and spread rapidly because there were flammable materials inside the factory. In addition to the 'mil' powder used in production, styrofoam was also stored there, which made the fire even more intense.
Witnesses say: 'Around seven in the evening, everything caught fire. The fire is very intense. Yes, it's a putty factory. I don't know if there are any victims; I didn't see anyone being carried out of the building,' said Pande Nama, a resident of the village of Munggu, whose house is near the factory.
Firefighters from Tabanan quickly arrived on the scene, but their resources were insufficient, and additional units from the Badung district were needed due to the fire's scale.
At the moment, combined firefighting forces are still battling the flames. Traffic congestion is complicating the movement of fire engines.
The factory building has been completely destroyed by the fire. The causes of the fire have not yet been established, and the police have not yet commented. There have been no reports of fatalities or injuries yet.
Authorities are waiting for the fire to be completely extinguished before starting to determine the cause and assess the damage.
