Waking up can be like shaking up a snow globe in our minds. How do we deal with the often contradictory and overwhelming experiences that can arise when we realize that there is more to life than meets the eye?
How do we remain kind to ourselves in spite of difficulties?
This workshop won't give you all the answers! But it will provide a lens with humor, insight and tenderness to welcome yourself amidst the ups and downs that often occur when we step outside of our comfort zone into the new and uncharted.
The event will be interactive, with many opportunities to connect with others.
Rick Smith has spoken to over 100,000 people on 5 continents on topics ranging from presentation to presence.
His best-selling book, Conscious Classroom Management, has sold half a million copies and continues to impact the lives of teachers and their students.
Through his years in education, Rick has discovered the simple principles of connection, liveliness, and kindness.
The same inner muscle that allows teachers to stay calm in a chaotic classroom and that allows them to see the best in their students, regardless of how they look or behave, is the same muscle that allows us to awaken, lead, stand up, and move mountains in the world.
These principles and approaches are at the heart of Rick's current workshops and retreats. When he teaches and consults, he engages participants with humor, movement, and connection, offering them practical ways to know and love themselves and to remember their innocence, wholeness, and "enoughness," especially in all the hard-to-reach corners of the world. their inner and outer worlds.
