Ignite Fundraising Gala 2024

The IGNITE Fundraising Gala, an annual event hosted by the Green School Foundation, returns for its 6th edition on 21 September 2024. This year's gala is dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability through education, particularly among Indonesian youth.

Set in the historic and majestic Royal Palace of Kerambitan in Tabanan, the event is themed "The Heritage of the Royal Balinese Kingdom." Guests are invited to step into a world of regal splendor, with a formal dress code reflecting traditional elegance.

The gala, starting at 4 PM and continuing into the night, offers more than just a typical charity dinner. It is designed as an immersive cultural journey, celebrating Balinese heritage through performing arts, traditional crafts, local cuisine, and an opportunity to dance under the stars on royal grounds.

IGNITE 2024 Highlights:

- A Regal Welcome: Cocktails and canapés by Chef Syrco BASÉ from Syrco BASE.

- The Royal Chambers Walkthrough: A chance to explore the palace’s storied chambers.

- The Amusement: A never-before-seen traditional Balinese performance.

- The Royal Supper: A feast crafted by Chef Eelke and Chef Ray from Nusantara by Locavore.

- Traditional Elegance: A showcase of ancient Balinese wardrobes by renowned costume designer Indira Laksmi and Cap Cili Textile.

- The Royal Ball: Dance under the night sky in a truly majestic setting.

A key fundraising element, "The Bidding of the Century," will feature an auction offering unique Balinese experiences, luxury stays, and fine arts. All proceeds will go toward educational initiatives that create significant impacts for young Indonesians.

Under the Green School Foundation’s guidance, these initiatives include developing sustainable projects in local Bali elementary schools, establishing waste management and permaculture centers, and funding skill-based training for Indonesian teachers. One standout project is the Agricultural University Scholarship Program, which provides full scholarships to the children of farmers studying agriculture.

The IGNITE Fundraising Gala is an evening where supporters, partners, and donors unite to celebrate and make a lasting impact on Bali's next generation.
