BASHKKA, meaning "other" in Turkish, reflects the artist's individuality. Born and raised in Munich, she is known for her bold, uncompromising, and precise style that captivates listeners and pushes the boundaries of electronic music. After spending a decade in New York, she absorbed the city’s cultural diversity and the LGBTQIA+ legacy, remaining committed to representing the SWANA and queer communities. Her tribute to the black and brown roots of dance music reimagines the rebellious spirit of the genre.
The artist has performed at HAMAM Nights, Club RAUM, Blitz Club, Panorama Bar in Berghain, and major festivals such as Glastonbury, Dekmantel, Nuits Sonores, Fabric, and legendary queer parties like ADONIS. Her debut EP "Maktub" took first place in 2023. BASHKKA actively collaborates with other artists and brands, such as Sedef Adasï for designer Dilara Fındıkoğlu, and creates bold remixes.
Since 2014, Dita has been exploring the musical diversity of Indonesia. She founded the collective 'Interrupted', through which she established her unique sound and continues to experiment with various musical textures. Her style encompasses proto-house, disco, 90s breaks, Balearic, and she is rightly appreciated for her meticulous and thoughtful work on music.
