All About Black Tea Workshop
Black tea is a rare and often misunderstood genre of tea that is highly popular in southern China and nearby regions. Not to be confused with the more familiar red tea, which is the most consumed tea in Europe and the Americas, black tea is classified as a post-fermented tea. The most famous type of black tea is Shu Pu’er, but there are many other intriguing varieties grown in the provinces surrounding Yunnan, the origin of Pu’er.
In this workshop, we will taste, sample, and explore some of the most popular and well-known varieties of black tea. We will delve into their unique processing methods, origins, and rich histories. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover and appreciate this lesser-known but captivating genre of tea.
