Higher Fuel Costs: Pertamax Prices Up in Bali

From 10 June, Pertamina increased the price of Pertamax fuel (octane rating: 92). In Bali, Java, Madura and Nusa Tenggara, a litre now costs 16,250 rupiah.

Before the increase, Pertamax was sold for 12,300 rupiah per litre. The rise is 3,950 rupiah, or around 32%.

Fuel Scam on Bali: Gas Station Busted for Mixing Cheap Fuel into Premium Tanks!

At one of Denpasar’s gas stations, workers were caught pouring cheaper, government-subsidized Pertalite fuel into tanks designated for the more expensive Pertamax.

A Denpasar police representative stated that four employees of the gas station are currently being questioned. The fraud was uncovered after local residents reported suspicious activity.
