Atmosphere:
A true beach 'chill-out' on one of Ubud's busiest streets, Monkey forest.
Folk Pool and Gardens is a unique space with a cool water pool, comfortable sunbeds and soft beds, restaurant and coffee shop.
A great place to escape the bustling streets of Ubud, relax by the pool, sunbathe while savoring a thick smoothie, a great margarita or a toasty pizza.
The design encourages relaxation, too: white cloths on the beds, bamboo umbrellas, palm trees and tropical flowers, handmade dishes, lots of light and wooden details.
There's great music during the day, and a DJ comes in the afternoon, so you can also dance (plus, from 6pm, the No mas bar opens in the next room, where you can “hang out” until midnight).
Sunbeds are free, but if you want to swim and take a towel, the cost will be 75 000 rupiah.
You can also rent large beds (capacity for up to 4 people). The price (Rp 350,000) includes bed rental, flavored water, snacks and fruit on skewers. You will also get towels and a 50% discount on the entire menu.

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, Folk hosts POPCORN CLUB, an outdoor movie with snacks and popcorn. Keep an eye on the website for announcements!
Cuisine:
Everything you need for a happy and a little lazy “beach” life :)
European-Indonesian mixed menu.
At Folk you can spend the whole day: start with breakfast (the restaurant is open from 9 am), continue with lunch in the pool and finish with dinner by candlelight.
For breakfast, try the Dragon fruit & Pineapple - a dragonfruit smoothie bowl with granola, papaya, pineapple and strawberries. Great strong coffee - a rare occasion when long black is an A+!
Great selection of egg dishes - poached eggs with avocado and feta, omelettes and eggs with bacon.
The signature Soft shell crab burger with coleslaw and wasabi mayo - the crab burger is a great addition to a carefree lunch :)
For vegans I highly recommend Ubud Ultra green bowl - a big salad with broccoli, zucchini, almond petals, avocado, mushrooms and a very tasty tamari dressing.
Of the “local” dishes, there's the excellent Nasi Goreng and the classy Gado Gado - a classic Indonesian vegetable salad with tempeh and walnut dressing, but with quality and beautiful presentation.
And don't miss the dessert! Take a risk and try the classic Indonesian dessert Lapis - steamed “pie” (looks more like a cake) made of a mixture of coconut milk and rice flour with ice cream and fruit. It sounds weird, but it's impossible to stop!
Drinks:
The menu features a large selection of heat-cooling drinks, from mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) based on natural fruit juices and sodas, to tropical margaritas, mojitos and other alcoholic mixes.
Seniman coffee.
Taxes are 15%.
