Restaurant Moana Burned Down this Morning

The well-known seafood restaurant Moana on Batu Bolong Street burned down. Since 2017, it delighted its visitors with excellent food, but this morning, around 7:30, it was engulfed in a powerful fire. The Badung district fire service deployed eight firefighting crews to extinguish the fire, but it was to no avail. The restaurant was completely destroyed.

Unfortunately, for reasons unknown at this time, the Badung fire service received notification of the fire only about an hour after the incident. Currently, the firefighting units are continuing the process of cooling down the area.

The restaurant building was predominantly wooden, which led to the rapid spread of the fire, and the late arrival of the fire crews left the restaurant with no chance. Only the framework of the building remains. Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the rest of the buildings, which are quite densely packed in this area.
