Changes in visa indexes

Visa indexes in Indonesia have changed in January 2024.
Now all visas are classified from B to E and are denoted by a combination of letters and numbers. Each category has specific permissions and validity periods:
Index B: Visa on arrival;
Index C: Single-entry visa;
Index D: Multiple-entry visa;
Index E: Visa with limited stay.

INDEX B Visa on arrival

formerly VOA, E-VOA, B213
  • B1 - tourism
  • Single
  • Validity period - 30 days
  • Can be extended for 30 days

INDEX С Single-entry visa

formerly B211, B211A,B211B
  • 211A - tourism
  • C2 - business
  • Single
  • Validity period - 60 days
  • Can be extended twice for 60 days

INDEX D Multiple-entry visa

formerly D212
  • D1 - tourism
  • D2 - business
  • Multiple
  • Validity period - 1, 2 or 5 years
  • It is possible to extend the authorized period of stay (60 days) up to 180 days

INDEX E Visa with limited stay

KITAS
  • E-visas, including work, investor, retirement, family KITAS, and Second Home visas
  • E33G - remote worker visa
Great news for those who want to stay in Bali for a long time: tourist multi-entry visas for 2 years and 5 years have appeared, as well as a new remote worker KITAS!
Visa applications must now be submitted online through the official platform of the Indonesian Immigration Service.
