In January 2024, Indonesia revised its visa classifications to include new options such as tourist multi-entry visas valid for 2 years and 5 years, along with a newly introduced remote worker KITAS!
Now, all visas are categorized from B to E, each specifying specific permissions and durations:
- Index B: Visa on Arrival
- Index C: Single-entry visit visa
- Index D: Multiple-entry visit visa
- Index E: Visa with limited stay duration
INDEX B Visa on arrival
Formerly known as VOA, E-VOA, B213
Visa Type and Purpose:
B1 - Tourism
Entry type: Single-entry
Validity Period: 30 days
Extension: Can be extended once for an additional 30 days
INDEX С Single-entry visa
Formerly known as B211, B211A, B211B
Visa Type and Purpose:
211A - Tourism
C2 - Business
Entry type: Single-entry
Validity Period: 60 days
Extension: Can be extended twice for an additional 60 days
INDEX D Multiple-entry visa
Formerly known as D212
Visa Type and Purpose:
D1 - Tourism
D2 - Business
Entry type: Multiple-entry
Validity Period: 1, 2, or 5 years
Extension: Extensions are permitted, allowing individuals to increase their authorized stay up to a maximum of 180 days in total.
INDEX E Visa with limited stay (KITAS)
Visa Type and Purpose:
E-visas - Includes work, investor, retirement, family reunion, and second home visas
E33G - Remote worker visa
