Music of the Stars is a fascinating journey through the Cosmos presented by award-winning astrophysicist and international handpan artist Dr. Edoardo Striani. Ethereal and evocative handpan music will blend with extraordinary high-resolution videos of the Universe in a combination of concert, entertainment and educational content. Topics covered will include the life-cicle of stars, the size of the Universe, planet formation and much more. There will also be plenty of time for questions from the audience at the end. Immerse yourself in the infinite vastness of the Universe, through a magical mixture of music and philosophical-scientific information that enchants the heart and inspires the mind.
Bio
Edoardo Striani is an astrophysicist, musician, and science communicator from Italy. He graduated in Physics with a thesis on dark matter and earned his PhD with a thesis on the gamma-ray variability of the Crab Nebula - a discovery that earned him the Bruno Rossi Prize from the American Astronomical Society. He's the author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications and has been a speaker at conferences in Italy, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, California and Japan. A Handpan player since 2012, he has become a recognized figure in the international handpan community and shared the beauty of this instrument with thousands of people through workshops in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Russia, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Bali. The show Music of the Stars has been performed, among others, at the Planetario di Milano, the Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg and the LVR Landes Museum in Bonn.
