Gattaca is set in a future society where a person's DNA determines their social class and life potential. Vincent is a "invalid", naturally conceived with average genes, who takes on the guise of an athlete with elite genes to infiltrate the aerospace company Gattaca. When the mission director is murdered, Vincent has to take extra measures to hide his true identity amid an ongoing police investigation of the crime scene.
