Maybank Marathon

More than just a race, the Maybank Marathon is one of Bali's biggest sports weekends, taking place from August 22 to 24 at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar. Runners from all over come for the full, half, or 10K, weaving through local villages and rice fields at sunrise. It's an early start, but the scenery and community support along the way make the early wake-up worth it.

If you're not running, don't worry, you can still join the vibe! There's always local food stalls, a small expo, and loads of families cheering at the finish line. It's a great way to experience a different side of Bali, one that's about community spirit, rather than just beaches and parties, right?
