Workshop Description:
Whether you're new to practice or an experienced teacher, this workshop is designed for all levels.
This three-part workshop begins with a focus on handstands and inversions, emphasizing the “straight” form. We'll cover a range of topics, including:
- Getting comfortable with inversions
- Building strength, mobility, and conditioning
- Exploring balance through physical, technical, and mental aspects, with guidance on breathing preparation
- Refining various handstand shapes
- Learning different entries and exits, including jumps and presses
- Working on shapes, one-arm variations, side bends, and movement within handstands
Based on your current experience level, we'll tailor the program to meet your needs.
The second part of the workshop will shift to spinal health and backbending. We’ll explore and practice frontal spinal extension, aiming to create healthy and enjoyable backbends.
We'll conclude by integrating both aspects, understanding backbends in inversions, scorpions, drop backs, and potentially some related arm balances.
This workshop is designed to help you identify your individual strengths and areas for improvement while deepening your overall experience.
Yoga is a continual exploration, and we aim to keep the practice fresh, immersive, and challenging to support your growth. We’ll also touch on important aspects of the eight limbs of yoga.
