Alexander Skancke

Alexander Skancke is a Berlin-based DJ and producer originally from Norway, who has become a distinctive voice in the international underground scene. Active since 2006, he has released over 30 records and performed worldwide, earning recognition for his originality, dedication, and narrative-driven DJ sets.

His years at the iconic Berlin Bikini Waxx Records honed his musical ear and strengthened his passion for vinyl and analog production, shaping a sound that is playful, unexpected, and emotionally resonant while remaining rooted in house and techno traditions.

In 2019, Skancke launched Quirk — his record label and event series, which quickly established itself as a platform for bold, progressive club music. As a resident of Hoppetosse, he has also performed at Berghain/Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson, steadily building a reputation as one of the most engaging and promising underground artists.

The sound spectrum of LTX extends from an eclectic direction of acid jazz fusion groove sound mixed with 90s synthesizer elements and a luxurious eurorack modular system.

He has long explored how compositions’ scores can be presented in a live performance. In recent years, he has participated in art and music scenes such as global and local festivals and has supported several art projects.

He has been involved in several projects, starting with Burning Man (creative team with digital Dalang), Wonderfruit Festival, Signal Festival, Lampu Festival, Chromawave fest, and most recently participated in Fabfest under the auspices of Fablab Barcelona as a stage builder, curator, and art director.

Thanks to his experience in the Bali music scene, he has collaborated with several international musicians and been part of event projects as a performer for several global artists, serving as an opening act for Ivan Smaghe, Evan Bagg, Matthew Johnson, Thomas Melchior, Indra Lesmana, DJ Masda, Anthea, SHXCXCHCXSH, Francesco Del Garda, Sofia Rodina, Geska, Arpia, Sapphire Slough, Benjamin Skeppe, Charlotte de White, Martinez Brother, M.a.n.d.y, Breakbot, Topper, Aoki Takamasa, Zuli, Shifter, and Kirill Shapovalov, performing in a live set format.
