Prior to the 20th century, wood carving in Bali was a form of spiritual devotion. Decorative panel, ornate doors, figures of deities and mask were created for ceremonial use and were exclusively for temples and palaces.
We bring to you 2 hours of wood carving with Ngurah Subagiasa as your mentor.
This hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the basic technique behind modelling and sculpting objects in wood.
