Catur is passionate about uniting traditional music styles, regularly composing and performing works that draw upon traditions from Indonesia, West and North Africa, and India. Based in Bali, where he teaches drum since 2012, Catur is also a member of 3 different music bands (Supa Kalulu a Marimba ensemble, Yaala Kono a West African inspired group, and Kala Fusion a transcontinental rhythms fusion) and he often performs at major festivals around the Indonesian archipelago.⁣
